Doug Kim was born and raised in the Bay Area. He is a certified transportation and environmental policy leader with 30 years of experience helping communities tackle urban planning challenges. Doug is the former Director of Planning at SamTrans and is a transportation and environmental consultant to public agencies. He has served as Chair of Planning Commissions in Redondo Beach and Belmont and was elected to the Belmont City Council in November 2015. He serves on the Board of C/CAG, the Housing Endowment and Regional Trust (HEART) of San Mateo County, Four Corners Ad Hoc Committee, SFO Community Roundtable, and other organizations. He also represents the 20 cities in San Mateo County on the Bay Area Air Quality Management District Governing Board.
