Santa Clara, CA, Monday, June 27 — Silicon Valley Leadership Group presents Energy & Sustainability Summit 2016 on Thursday, June 30 at the Redwood City Oracle headquarters, CA, from 7:30 am – 6:30 pm PDT. Sustainable Silicon Valley is excited to partner this 4th annual summit by SVLG that features C-Suite plenaries and informative breakouts in energy efficiency, water, and clean energy, as well as numerous case studies, all focused on positive impacts for the business bottom-line and communities.

After a momentous 2015, the summit will explore “What’s Next After Paris & What’s In Store for California?” It will provide a platform to learn about the latest innovative technologies and practices and how to employ them and create a lasting value, as well as to explore what one can do on a practical level to prepare for a changing policy and regulatory landscape.

The summit is divided into a few interesting sections with three plenary panels covering:

  • Meeting the Paris COP Goals — Technologies, Policies, and Financing the Transition to Clean Energy
  • Realizing the Promise of a Circular Economy –  How Can the Bay Area be a Model?
  • What’s Next for California Climate and Clean Energy Policy?

Featured keynote speakers:

Dr. Peter H. Gleick, President, Pacific Institute, throws light on climate change and the future of water, an extremely relevant issue for Californians in his opening address.

Dr. Mark Z. Jacobson, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Stanford University, takes on an ambitious discussion on 100% renewables by 2050.

Mary Nichols, Chair, California Air Resources Board, closes the summit by focusing on the importance of California leadership on climate change and clean energy.

The Energy and Sustainability Summit is a day-long event designed to reach environmentally responsible Silicon Valley residents and even beyond for an informative and meaningful engagement with the community at large. It’s an occasion to meet and network with key environmentalists, sustainability advocates, leading engineers, water scientists, corporate executives, policy makers, and regulators.

The summit is supported by a number of generous sponsors, and is hosted by Oracle, one of Silicon Valley’s top tech company.
